Last week, as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week and Tallahassee Startup Week, Tallahassee Community College (TCC) and its Center for Innovation announced two partnerships that will support students, entrepreneurs, startups and small businesses across the region with expertise, assets, resources, capital and opportunities across Florida – effectively filling local gaps that limit their growth potential and draw them elsewhere.
On Monday, TCC President Jim Murdaugh executed a Strategic Alliance Memorandum with Michael Barerra, the newly appointed Director of the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) North Florida District Office as part of the College’s monthly District Board of Trustees meeting. Barerra, who was joined by several staff from the SBA for the presentation via Zoom, described the strategic alliance and opportunities it affords the College and community. “We look forward to partnering with Tallahassee Community College and its Center for Innovation to support small businesses in Northwest Florida. This Strategic Alliance positions us to collaborate with the Center in presenting programming that aids small businesses and increases access to capital for minority-owned, women-owned and veteran-owned small businesses in Tallahassee and neighboring communities.” …
