A Tampa-based insurance tech startup has closed a $100 million round in its first foray into the funding world.
Slide was founded by Bruce Lucas, who previously founded Heritage Insurance (NYSE: HRTG). He served as the company’s CEO until 2020, before leaving and launching his latest venture this September.
The company has raised a $100 million hyper-local Series A round, it told the Business Journal exclusively, Friday.
The company, which expects to launch to the public next quarter, is a full-stack provider that uses artificial intelligence, machine learning and data to let users choose their coverage for budgets and unique needs. The company has roughly a dozen employees…
